Physics Laboratory
Integrating Theory, Experimentation, and Innovation
The Physics Laboratory provides B.Tech students with a strong foundation in experimental physics, essential for engineering and technological excellence. It bridges theory and practice, fostering analytical thinking, precision, and scientific inquiry through hands-on training in fundamental and advanced experiments. The laboratory features optical setups such as Newton’s Ring Apparatus, Diffraction Grating, Biprism, Polarimeter, Helium–Neon and Diode Lasers; electrical and magnetic instruments including Hall Effect, Energy Band Gap (Four Probe), Magnetic Susceptibility, Ballistic Galvanometer, Potentiometer, Carey-Foster’s Bridge, and Variation of Magnetic Field setups; thermal and material characterisation tools like Ultrasonic Interferometer, Abbe Refractometer, Viscometer, Double-Walled Glass Jacket, Water Bath, Oven, and Stefan’s Law verification set-up; along with general utilities such as Electronic Balances, Nodal Slide, and Electrochemical Equivalent (ECE) of Copper set-up. These facilities enable students to develop practical skills, engage in mini-projects and simulations, and adopt a research-oriented approach that supports innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and higher studies
