The Department of Mechanical Engineering is equipped with state-of-the-art laboratory facilities in which the material fabrication, testing and advanced manufacturing facilities are of keen interest.
The Material testing includes Mechanical characterization facilities like Tensile strength, impact, hardness, Flexural strength of materials varying from Concrete to a polymer composite with varying loading capacities. The Advanced Manufacturing facilities includes CNC Turner, Vertical milling centre both trainer and production versions equipped with a 5-axis mini robot. The department is equipped with facilities like Co-Ordinate measuring Profile projector to measure the various dimensions of a product.
