Advance Manufacturing Lab

Material Science & Testing Lab
The Material Science & Testing Lab focuses on understanding the properties and behaviour of engineering materials. It is equipped with testing machines such as Universal Testing Machine (UTM), hardness testers, and impact testing equipment. Students conduct experiments to evaluate mechanical properties like strength, toughness, and ductility. The lab also includes facilities for metallography and microstructure analysis. It helps in correlating material structure with performance characteristics. The lab supports academic learning as well as research in material engineering.

Fluid Mechanics Lab
The Machine Shops offer comprehensive training in conventional machining processes and workshop practices. Facilities include lathes, milling machines, drilling machines, shaping machines, and grinding machines. Students learn the fundamentals of material removal processes and machine tool operations. Emphasis is given to safety practices, precision, and quality in manufacturing. The shop provides hands-on skills essential for mechanical engineers. Research & Development Lab
The R&D Lab is equipped with advanced facilities to support research, innovation, and experimental studies in mechanical engineering. It includes Electric Discharge Machine (EDM) with Micro Tool Grinder, Ultrasonic Machining (USM), and a Computerized Twin Screw Dual Channel Universal Testing Machine. The lab also features precision instruments such as a Surface Roughness Tester, Micro-Hardness Tester, Digital Microscope, and Infrared Thermometer. These facilities enable accurate material characterization, micro-machining, and performance analysis. The lab promotes interdisciplinary research and hands-on learning for students and faculty.
