The Department of Chemistry is one of the academically and research-oriented departments of the University, supported by a highly qualified team of faculty members with strong teaching and research credentials. The department comprises distinguished Professors, Associate Professors, and Assistant Professors, all holding Ph.D. degrees or pursuing advanced doctoral research, and actively engaged in contributing to scientific advancement through high-quality publications, patents, sponsored projects, and collaborations with expertise spanning Polymer Science, Physical Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Materials Chemistry, Environmental Chemistry, and Nanotechnology, the department has evolved into a vibrant centre for teaching-learning, research, and innovation. Faculty members have received national-level research grants, awards, and recognitions from DST, DSIR, JSSAHER, DRDO, and other government bodies, reflecting the department’s strong research culture.
