The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering (ECE) was established in the academic year 2023–24 with an initial intake of 60 students, which has now increased to 180, making it one of the most dynamic and sought-after branches on campus.The department functions under JSS University, Noida, carrying forward the proud 26-year legacy of the JSS Academy of Technical Education (JSSATEN), Noida, affiliated with Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow. It follows the principles of the National Education Policy (NEP-2020), Outcome-Based Education (OBE), and Project-Based Learning (PBL). The department has been accredited five times, with the latest accreditation received in 2022–23 for a period of three years. It is committed to excellence in teaching–learning and the delivery of high-quality education to all stakeholders.

The department hosts four active student chapters
Additionally, it supports two student societies, QUANTA and SPARK. The IEEE student chapter has also received $2400 in funding for academic and technical activities.

The department is supported by highly qualified faculty members, with 85% holding doctoral degrees, while the remaining faculty are pursuing their Ph.D. from reputed universities. The faculty has a strong research profile with 100+ publications in indexed journals (SCOPUS, WoS, SCI) in the last five years. A total of 40 patents have been filed and published, with 21 granted. Faculty members contribute expertise across a broad spectrum of emerging technologies and are supported by funded projects from DST, AICTE, and various government agencies, creating an excellent environment for innovation and multidisciplinary research. The department currently has over ₹45 lakhs in funded projects from DST, VGST, and other agencies,

The department has well-equipped laboratories with the required hardware and software for both undergraduate and postgraduate programs. Beyond the curriculum, a dedicated Project Lab supports hands-on learning and innovation. The department’s key strengths include strong student achievements, faculty expertise, continuous upskilling in emerging technologies, and modern infrastructure that promotes advanced research and project development.
Additionally, the department is supported by seven technical staff members, including two with M.Tech. qualifications.
