The English Department of JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida organized a departmental seminar to foster academic exchange among faculty members. On 6th of September, 2025, Mr. Manu B S, Assistant Professor, delivered the Seminar presentation titled "Samskara: A Rite for a Dead man by U.R.Anantha Murphy."The Seminar focused on the novel’s critique of caste, tradition, and morality in a Brahmin community and also highlighted Praneshacharya’s moral conflict and the tension between spiritual duty and human ethics. Murthy’s narrative style, symbolism, and social commentary were also discussed. The seminar engaged faculty in exploring the relevance of these themes in contemporary society. Overall, it provided valuable insights into the philosophical and cultural depth of the novel.
