The Department of English organized a Movie Review Activity to engage students in critical thinking, analytical observation, and reflective discussion through the medium of cinema. As part of the activity, students watched selected tech-innovative films that highlighted futuristic concepts, scientific advancements, and the impact of technology on society. The session encouraged students to explore themes such as artificial intelligence, digital ethics, innovation, human–machine interaction, and the evolving role of technology in everyday life. After watching the movies, students participated in an open discussion where they shared their viewpoints, interpreted key messages, and analyzed the technological ideas presented. The activity proved highly interactive, allowing students to express their perspectives, question concepts, and compare cinematic portrayals with real-world technological possibilities. Through guided discussion, they also reflected on the ethical, social, and emotional dimensions of technological progress. Overall, the Movie Review Activity successfully enhanced students’ critical thinking, communication skills, and ability to connect technological themes with human values. It provided an enjoyable yet intellectually stimulating platform for students to voice their interpretations and engage with innovative ideas beyond the classroom.
