The Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, JSS University, Noida, organized an Expert Talk on “2D Materials-Based Chemi-Resistive Gas Sensors for Room Temperature Operations” on 11th April 2025. The session explored the emerging field of chemi-resistive gas sensors using advanced 2D materials such as graphene, MoS₂, and WS₂, highlighting their advantages over conventional sensors that require high operating temperatures. The expert emphasized how the unique properties of 2D materials high surface-to-volume ratio, superior electrical conductivity, and tunable surface chemistry—enable efficient, low-power, and room-temperature gas sensing applications.
