DR. ROHIT SINGH
Assistant Professor and HODProfile
Dr. Rohit Singh is a distinguished researcher with 14 years of experience in academia, industry, and research. He was awarded Ph.D. from the CSIR-Central Drug Research Institute (CSIR-CDRI), Lucknow, and/Academy of Scientific and Innovative Research (AcSIR) under the CSIR Senior Research Fellowship. He has 2 years of industrial experience, during which his work has mainly focused on the custom synthesis of cilastatin sodium and cefuroxime axetil, as well as the isolation of protodioscin (a Steroidal Saponin). Dr. Rohit Singh's research focuses on developing new methodologies for isolating natural products and structurally modifying bioactive molecules, for therapeutic areas including cancer, diabetes, malaria, and leishmaniasis. Construction of pharmaceutically-privileged heterocyclic molecular skeletons. He has qualified for various national-level examinations, such as GPAT. His achievements include 21 peer-reviewed publications, one patent (India), one design patent, one book, one book chapter, and one research grant. He is a lifetime member of Indian Pharmaceutical Association and Association of Pharmaceutical Teachers of India. He is also associated with National and International journals in different capacities. Recently, he received the Best Innovative Teacher Award, organized by Pharmalok at the National Pharma Summit (NPS).
