Dr. Richa Verma is Head of the Department of Physics with over 19 years of experience in teaching, research and academic leadership. Her work spans statistical mechanics, thermodynamics of liquids, and computational materials science, with key contributions to Kirkwood–Buff integrals, MOST systems, and plasmon-enhanced photovoltaics. She works across quantum-level modelling, device simulations, and renewable-energy materials. In her leadership roles as Head of Department, Chairperson of the Board of Examination Committee, and Chairman, Board of Studies, she guides curriculum development, academic governance, and quality assurance. She initiated the department’s first newsletter, mentors student researchers, and has served as Sessional In-Charge, Assistant Controller of Examinations, and PI of the UBA Project. She has also contributed to NBA documentation, founded student societies (SPADE and Tenacious) and facilitated a MoU with NEHHDC (Govt of India) (2021–2024).
