DR. NITIMA MALSA

Associate Professor
Profile

Dr. Nitima Malsa is a distinguished academician and researcher with over two decades of experience in teaching, and research. She is IEEE student branch counsellor at JSS University, Noida. She holds a Ph.D. in Blockchain Technology from Banasthali University, an M.Tech in Computer Science from Banasthali University, Banasthali and a B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering from Rajasthan University. Her research interests include Blockchain technology, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Cryptocurrency. She has served as an editor for books published by leading international publishers Springer Nature, and has authored more than 30 research papers in reputed SCI and SCOPUS-indexed journals and conferences. Dr. Malsa has granted patents in India, in the domains of Energy, IoT, AI, and Blockchain. She has also received funded research support from CST-UP, govt. of India. A strong advocate of academic excellence and innovation, she has coordinated several AICTE-sponsored FDPs/STTPs, served as a reviewer, session chair, and Technical Program Committee in numerous international conferences, and contributed to NBA/NAAC accreditations.

  • Dr. Nitima Malsa has earned numerous awards and accolades for her exceptional academic and research achievements. She has been acknowledged for her CST-UP funded research and holds several patents granted in India. She has also collaborated with Emerson Automation Solutions on an energy trading project. Her academic distinction is further demonstrated through her active roles as a reviewer, session chair, technical program chair, and editor for prestigious international journals and conferences.
Social Engagement
  • Dr. Malsa is strongly dedicated to social and institutional development initiatives. As the IEEE Student Branch Counsellor at JSS University, Noida, she has actively organized numerous programs and provided internship opportunities for students through IEEE activities. She mentors students in innovation-focused competitions such as the Smart India Hackathon, promoting ethical leadership and community-centered problem-solving. Additionally, Dr. Malsa contributes to academic social responsibility by conducting faculty development programs, mentoring emerging researchers, and fostering collaborations that integrate technology with societal welfare, sustainability, and education.
Research
  • Dr. Malsa’s research focuses on Blockchain technology, Machine Learning, Data Analytics, and Cryptocurrency. She has supervised over 30 B.Tech projects and several M.Tech dissertations. In addition, she has edited books published by renowned international publishers such as Springer Nature and has authored more than 40 research papers in reputed SCI and SCOPUS-indexed journals and conferences. She holds an H-index of 11 with 426 Google Scholar citations and maintains strong research collaborations both nationally and internationally.
