DR. MONIKA MALIK

Assistant Professor
Profile

Dr. Monika Malik is an Assistant Professor in Electronics and Communication Engineering with over 20 years of academic experience. Her expertise includes Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN), IoT, Embedded Systems, and Communication Technologies. She has published several SCI and Scopus-indexed papers and book chapters with Springer and CRC Press. Her research focuses on wireless communication, intelligent IoT applications, and energy-efficient networks. Dr. Malik serves as Co-PI of a DST-sponsored project on Organic Farming using AI, Robotics, and IoT. She has hands-on experience in IoT and LoRaWAN, deploying WSNs for real-world applications. She coordinatesthe e-Yantra Embedded Systems & Robotics Lab and the SPARK Innovation Society. Through these initiatives, she fosters innovation, interdisciplinary learning, and research culture. She contributes significantly to the academic and research excellence of JSS University, Noida.

  • Co-PI for DST project-2024
  • Received the Best Feedback Award (2017) from JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida, in recognition of outstanding teaching performance and positive student feedback.
  • Secured a bronze medal in the faculty race during the Sports Fest at JSSATE, Noida.
  • Published over 15 research papers including one in an SCIE (Q1) journal Multimedia Tools and Applications (IF: 3.77), three in ESCI-indexed, two in UGC/peer-reviewed journals, and seven in IEEE international conferences such as NETCRYPT 2025 and ICSC series.
  • Authored three Scopus-indexed book chapters with Springer and Taylor & Francis, and contributed to 11+ key programs on IoT, WSN, Drones, and Women Empowerment under DST initiatives.
  • Patent Achievements: A total of two Indian patents have been published in the field of agricultural automation and robotics in 2024 and 2023.
Social Engagement
  • Actively engaged in promoting women entrepreneurship and digital literacy in rural areas through the DST-SEED project, focusing on AI, Robotics, and IoT-based organic farming practices in KOT Village, Dadri
  • Worked in collaboration with Krishi Vigyan Kendra (KVK) Dadri, CDAC Noida, and other institutional bodies to create impactful social outreach programs.
  • Reviewer of Journals - Peer to Peer Networking and Applications, Wireless Personal Communication, IEEE international Conferences.
