Profile

Dr. Dhiraj Pandey is a distinguished academician and researcher with over 22 years of experience in teaching, research, and administration. He is currently serving as Professor and Head of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at JSS University, Noida. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Engineering from Manipal University Jaipur (2018), an M.Tech in Information Technology from GGSIPU, New Delhi (2007), and a B.Tech in Information Technology from CCS University, Meerut (2003). His doctoral work focused on visual cryptography and secure share generation schemes using chaos theory. Dr. Pandey has published Several research papers in reputed international journals and conferences such as Elsevier, Springer, and Taylor & Francis. He has also authored and edited several book chapters with renowned publishers. His current research explores computational intelligence approaches combining machine learning, deep learning, and natural language processing. He has guided 2 PhD scholars and over 50 postgraduate and undergraduate projects, and is currently supervising 5 PhD candidates. He is a Senior Member of IEEE, a lifetime member of ISTE, and a reviewer for various SCI and Scopus-indexed journals.

  • Dr. Pandey has been recognized for his remarkable contributions to research, innovation, and academic leadership. He holds three patents. His papers in several journals and conferences have received recognition for its high quality. He has also contributed as a reviewer and editorial member for several high-impact journals and conferences, and continues to advance interdisciplinary research that blends AI, machine learning, and allied Fields.
Social Engagement
  • Beyond his academic and research excellence, Dr. Dhiraj Pandey is deeply involved in fostering innovation and social responsibility within the academic community. At JSS University, Noida, he mentors students through hackathons, AI innovation challenges, and faculty development programs (FDPs). He actively promotes the integration of ethical AI, sustainability, and assistive technologies in engineering education. Dr. Pandey also encourages student participation in community-focused projects that address social and technological challenges, bridging the gap between academia and real-world impact.

  • Dr. Pandey has published more than 60 research papers in reputed international journals and conferences such as Elsevier, Springer, and Taylor & Francis. He has also authored and edited several book chapters with renowned publishers. Dr. Pandey’s research spans across Visual Cryptography, Data Analytics, Assistive Technologies, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, and Blockchain. He has published extensively in leading journals and conferences, with a citation index reflecting significant academic impact.
  • His research includes work on blockchain-based healthcare management, visual cryptography schemes, assistive technologies for the visually and hearing impaired, AI-driven health data security, and applications of deep learning in disease prediction. His projects often integrate secure computing with applied AI to address real-world challenges in medicine, accessibility, and cybersecurity.
  • He has published in journals like Wireless Personal Communications, Archives of Computational Methods in Engineering, and International Journal of Distributed Systems and Technologies, among others. He has also contributed four book chapters published by IGI Global and Elsevier, focusing on AI-based healthcare, intelligent systems, and visual cryptography.
