Dr. Bishnu Kant Shukla is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil Engineering at JSS Academy of Technical Education, Noida. He holds a Ph.D. in Civil Engineering (Water Resources), an M.Tech. in Water Resources Engineering, and a B.Tech. (Hons.) in Civil Engineering. He has authored/co-authored 190 research publications, of which 111 are indexed in Scopus/Web of Science, with a substantial portion published in Q1, Q2, Q3 and SCI journals. He has published 43 patents (17 granted) and is currently serving as editor of an upcoming book with CRC Press, Taylor & Francis. His research excellence has been recognized with five Best Paper Awards at international conferences in the areas of sustainable materials, pervious concrete, and wastewater aeration. Dr. Shukla successfully completed a CSIR-funded project as Co-Principal Investigator, has submitted six research proposals to various government agencies, and currently supervises several Ph.D. scholars in the fields of advanced concrete materials and water resources while mentoring numerous postgraduate and undergraduate students. He has also completed 5 NPTEL courses and 25 Faculty Development Programmes (FDPs). He maintains active international research collaborations with New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) and University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), USA, as well as Eskisehir Technical University, Turkey, focusing on machine learning, data analytics, experimental–computational modelling, and circular-economy applications in water resources, hydraulics, and infrastructure resilience. A passionate educator, Dr. Shukla seamlessly integrates AI/ML, IoT, and GIS into civil engineering pedagogy and research. He serves as the Institution’s Innovation Council (IIC) Coordinator, promotes student innovation and entrepreneurship through hackathons, ideathons, and startup mentoring, and regularly contributes as reviewer, editorial board member, and technical committee member for reputed international journals and conferences.
