Dr. Ashok Kumar received his Ph.D. in Applied Chemistry from Babasaheb Bhimrao Ambedkar University (A Central University), Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh (INDIA). His research emphasizes the adsorption mechanism of biopolymers, synthesis of advanced adsorbents and environmental remediation, particularly on adsorption mechanisms of polymers and cellulose derivatives, synthesis of novel adsorbents, and solid–liquid interfacial interactions with expertise in sophisticated instrumentation including BET surface area analyzer, UV-Vis, FTIR, and ultrasonication systems. He has published over 20 papers, including research articles in reputed national and international peer-reviewed journals indexed in SCI/WOS such as ACS, Elsevier, Springer, and Taylor & Francis, along with four book chapters and two patents. He has guided postgraduate research scholars, delivered talks, reviewed more than 25 journal articles, and actively contributed as guest editor in reputed international journals. His scholarly achievements and academic contributions have been recognized with several prestigious honours, including the Research Excellence Award, Young Scientist Award, Best Paper and Best Poster Awards, as well as Outstanding Reviewer recognition. He is an affiliate and life member of several reputed professional societies and serves on editorial and review boards of international scientific journals. Dr. Kumar is engaged in advancing research in materials and environmental chemistry, encourages student participation in innovative research initiatives, and actively contributes to teaching and academic support in engineering disciplines.
