DR. ALOK SINGH

Assistant Professor
Profile

Dr. Alok Singh has been serving JSS institutions since 2024, bringing over twelve years of combined experience in teaching and research experience in plasmonics, nanophotonics, and optoelectronic device modeling. He completed his Ph.D. in Applied Physics from Gautam Buddha University, where he worked on plasmonic nanostructures for improved photovoltaic and sensing applications. He holds an M.Phil. in Physics from Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University and an M.Sc. in Physics with specialization in Electronics. He previously served as a Project Associate under a DST-SERB funded research project. His research focuses on nanophotonics, plasmonic metasurfaces, graphene and 2D material-based sensors, and energy-harvesting nanodevices. He has expertise in COMSOL Multiphysics, MATLAB, and Python for simulation-driven design and analysis. Dr. Singh has published in reputed international journals, presented at national and international conferences, and actively mentors students in computational and experimental research. His work aims to advance next-generation optoelectronic and sensing technologies through interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation.
